My absolute favourite thing about this book was the superb way the storyline was built up by the author Roger Bray. This top notch thriller is like a jigsaw puzzle, in that he feeds you the pieces of the story and builds it up into a completed picture. Definitely one of my favourite thrillers so far this year. It’s solid, fascinating and a very rewarding read.
An intriguing read
The tension that is within this book is fabulous, my spine started tingling at times and I kept looking over my shoulder as pages of this book flipped by. The attacker is brutal and really made my skin crawl. Brilliantly done Roger.
Blood Ribbon is a gripping, unputdownable, intriguing read that will have you hooked well into the night. It’s brilliantly written with some fabulous characters that I really loved to read about. Another excellent book by Roger!
A super read
Roger Bray gives you all the known facts before grabbing you and bang! You really won’t know what has hit you and won’t be able to stop until you know the truth. Loved the characters, especially Alice and Steve. The story is easy to follow because what is happening is so gripping. A huge must read book!
Sit down, savour and enjoy!
Psychosis is an intense read which is perfect for those who want to delve right into the characters and location. It isn’t a wham bam in your face read, it is gruesome in parts but not overly so. It is one to slow down, savour and enjoy.
A Great Read
Really enjoyed 'Psychosis' The second book by this author. It has a well developed plot with interesting and believable characters who you invest in as the story progresses. A real page turner which kept my interest throughout. Authentic investigative detail left no stone unturned in the quest for the truth. Looking forward to the next book by Roger Bray.
I loved Ben

This is a wonderful and heartbreaking read. A great story and one that I recommend everyone checking out.
A brilliant book
I loved this book, it was a wild thrilling ride that took me on a journey I wasn’t quite expecting to take. The characters are well-written and Roger’s writing pulled me in, within a few pages I was hooked! It keeps the reader intrigued which is well-paced and you just don’t want to stop reading.
This was a brilliant book. As usual written with a great premise in mind. Darker than his other book The Picture but top quality writing and a worthy 5 stars.
Oh just wow! This is in my top three reads for this year. It is so very powerful. It captures the very best of man and the very worst. It is sensitive and brutal. It was for me perfection!
I don’t think that I have ever read a book before where I can remember every single person in it or should I say that I will never forget.
Five stars from me - it's an excellent book!
Donna's Book Blog
As soon as I read the blurb for this book I was immediately intrigued and knew it was definitely a book I wanted to read - I can tell you now I was not disappointed at all and it was a cracking read for me over this Easter!!
This book is really gripping and I was hooked from the beginning. It is really easy to follow and I flew through the pages. There were some really tense moments and I have to say I loved them!
A crime tale to restore your faith in human nature
A story of friendships and enduring memories. Of that family doesn’t have to be blood relations just those close to you. I really enjoyed this and read it in a day. I liked Brooke- she has tenacity and determination and that want to put something back which to me is an honorable thing. This is different from the normal PI crime stories as the PI takes a back seat and even Brooke investigating is done well, in a more roundabout way as if she is more curious as to why she was attacked rather than her setting out to be a hapless gumshoe as in some books. Well told from a different perspective , a crime tale but one to restore your faith in human nature.
Grown-up crime drama
I found this to be a grown-up crime drama, a little slow to begin with, for good reason. The authors sets a scene showing the despair of the accused and his long suffering sister, with nowhere else to turn until a chance meeting occurs. At no point did I start to disbelieve the action and investigation.
Don't read alone on the beach!
Roger Bray's Blood Ribbon has mystery and murder, but it also addresses young adulthood questions/coming of age stories. It kept me guessing to the end as far as who done it, and I was rooting for the characters along in the way in their normal day to day struggles. There's really this great contrast between characters who are compassionate and others who are clearly not. It's a great book! Just maybe don't read it while sunbathing alone on the beach.
A fantastic, taut, dark thriller
Blood Ribbon is a taut, dark thriller that is full of unexpected twists and turns. Focusing on friendships, relationships and family adds to the reality of the story and Roger Bray has executed this aspect perfectly, bringing a sense of reality to the whole book. I can't believe that I haven't discovered Roger's books until now but I'm so pleased that I've got another two of his books to read at some point in the future.
A Full-on, Thought-Provoking Book.
I found myself immersed in the exciting plot. The thrill just never stopped, right up until the final page. It is cleverly written so that you are pulled into the characters lives, and become emotionally invested in them. It is also modern and relevant to today’s society.
It was just a pleasure to read. It was intriguing and held me captive right to the very end.
